Madico Holds Grand Opening at New World Headquarters

Madico added 75 new employees in 2019 as part of its growth initiatives and it currently employs more than 200 people.

Madico, manufacturers of laminating and coating solutions and window films, celebrated the grand opening of its new world headquarters in Pinellas Park, Florida, on Feb. 13.

The company says that more 350 people from around the world attended the event, including Lintec officials (Madico is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lintec USA); customers; suppliers; and members of the local community.

The event featured a ribbon cutting with Japan-based Lintec’s chairman and CEO, Akihiko Ouchi, and Madico’s CEO, Shawn Kitchell, both on hand. A number of the company’s annual awards were presented, including Window Film Dealer of the Year, International Distributor of the Year, ProtectionPro Distributor Award, Sustainability Award, Collaboration Partner Award and Supplier Awards.

Madico purchased the manufacturing facility in Pinellas Park, which is north of its former location in St. Petersburg, in 2017. At a quarter-million square feet, it is significantly larger than the combined former Madico locations in St. Pete and Woburn, Massachusetts. Including the acquisition of the building, the company has invested $40 million into its new home, which contains three state-of-the-art coating and laminating lines along with an advanced research center for R&D.

During the grand opening, guests participated in behind-the-scenes guided factory tours, visited the company’s new showroom-which has interactive displays for guests-and were given product installation demonstrations of various products.
