Delta Apparel and Penn Emblem announce personnel changes
Delta Apparel, a provider of core activewear and lifestyle apparel products, appoints Simone Walsh as its chief financial officer.
Walsh most recently served as vice president deputy controller of Novelis Inc., since September 2020. Before that, she served as chief accounting officer, controller, and principal accounting officer at PRGX Global Inc.
Robert W. Humphreys, the company’s chairman and chief executive officer, remarks, “We are delighted to have Simone join our team. She has extensive expertise in accounting, finance, operations, and global strategy. In addition, her international business experience combined with a deep understanding of tax strategies will be of great benefit to the company.”
Penn Emblem appoints Debbie Martinenza as its new client support director. Martinenza facilitates client support in both the Trevose, Pennsylvania, and Mira Loma, California locations.
Her career with Penn Emblem began as a part-time employee in 1988. After she graduated in 1989, she was hired as a full-time order entry clerk. Since starting with Penn full time, Martinenza has transitioned to various roles and has been the recipient of the company’s 1996 President’s Award, 2008 Chairman’s Award, 2012 Penn Award, 2014 Penn Award, 2016 Penn Award, and the 2018 Penn Award.
“My personal goal is to help implement a new ERP system along with a brand-new, fully e-commerce website,” she says, “Having the new platforms in place will help in so many areas but most importantly, it will improve our customer experience which truly is my number one goal. Our CS teams will have the appropriate tools and real-time data to better service our customers and our internal Sales team.”
