JDS Industries Continues to Expand to Accommodate Growth

When you're a distributor and you need bigger warehouses, that's a good thing.

Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based JDS Industries, a supplier of components to the sign and graphics, sublimation, awards, and gifts and promotion markets, announces a flurry of facility-related activity in recent months in order to serve its customers better.

Last fall, it installed a 20,000-square-foot addition to connect its two warehouses at its headquarters in Sioux Fall, bringing that space to 255,000 total square feet.

Recently, the company relocated its Chicago-area facility to Addison, Illinois, from Elk Grove Village. Doing so the company took over 87,000 square feet, 35,000 more than it had in Elk Grove.

JDS’ Detroit-area location is now in Brownstown, Michigan, where it occupies 78,000 square feet of space. That’s 33,200 more than it had in Romulus, Michigan.

The company says that its employees handle the moves internally with minimum down time for each location.
