GSG announces the promotion of Brandon Smith to vice president of strategic sourcing and business development. Smith comes to the role after previously serving as director of marketing at the company.

In his new role, Smith is responsible for the leadership and development of strategic relationships with key suppliers. As vice president, Smith also manages the GSG purchasing and sourcing department. The company also adds that Smith will “direct GSG market pricing as well as further the company’s growth strategy by leading business development as GSG expands into new markets and locations.”

Smith comes to the role with a multi-faceted background in sales, marketing, and purchasing experience at GSG. During his time as director of marketing, Smith oversaw multiple aspects of the department including trade shows, events, product development, and advancing strategic supplier partnerships.

“We are pleased to congratulate Brandon on his well-deserved promotion,” says GSG.

The promotion comes as GSG continues to grow its workforce and overall footprint across the U.S. Late last week the company announced plans to acquire Spectrum Screen Printing Supplies, expanding the company’s reach in the Midwest.
