GS2 Awards, a wholesale laser materials and equipment source, announced the grand opening of its new Beyond the Beam Learning Center, a unique educational facility designed to enhance the skills required for success in the awards and personalization industry.

Located in Boulder, Colorado, this innovative space features a variety of equipment, a flexible layout, and presentation spaces to support a wide range of educational activities.

“We’ve created an environment that encourages hands-on, collaborative learning,” said Braden Todd, owner of the Beyond the Beam Learning Center. “Students will be able to increase their skills in many aspects of the industry, including laser equipment, design software, and business development. Our goal is to empower them with the tools and techniques required to build the business of their dreams”.

Key features of the new Beyond the Beam Learning Center include:

  • Equipment: With the support of industry partners, Beyond the Beam Learning Center features Trotec lasers, Ikonics Imaging sandcarvers, and Mimaki UV printers. Students will be able to further their knowledge and skill set on these machines.
  • Dedicated zones: Specific areas for different types of learning, such as hands-on areas for projects, a presentation area for classroom learning, and a showroom for design inspiration.

The Beyond the Beam Learning Center will host a wide array of classes in laser, sandblasting, UV printing, production tips and tricks, CorelDRAW, and business development. Classes will be administered by owners, Braden and Alison Todd, as well as a rotating cast of industry-leading experts.
