Global Organic Textile Standard Tops 100 US Certified Companies

More than 100 individual companies in the United States are certified under the organization.
STUTTGART, Germany-The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) announces that more than 100 individual companies in the United States are certified under the organization. Canada has eight, and Mexico has three companies certified to the program.
According to the 2018 GOTS Annual Report:
- There were 5,760 GOTS-certified facilities reported globally (an increase of 14.6% from 2017’s 5,024)
- The number of workers reported in GOTS-certified facilities grew to more than two million worldwide
- GOTS certification achieved 25% growth in North America from 2017 to 2018
The organization permits the use of its logo or reference to GOTS certification only if the conditions of the GOTS Licensing and Labelling Guide are met.
