General Formulations donates trailer wrap to adaptive sports program
The trailer, wrapped by Design Edge Sign Company, is used year-round to haul a fleet of sport wheelchairs & essential equipment to clinics, competitions & community events.

General Formulations, a family-owned global manufacturer of pressure-sensitive media located in West Michigan, has proudly donated a full trailer wrap to the Mary Free Bed Wheelchair and Adaptive Sports Program, supporting its mission to bring movement and opportunity to individuals with physical disabilities.
Wheelchair and adaptive sports provide critical benefits for individuals with physical disabilities, improving fitness, coordination, self-esteem, and community connection. Mary Free Bed Wheelchair and Adaptive Sports is one of the largest programs of its kind in the nation, offering adaptive skiing, wheelchair basketball, sled hockey, and more for both children and adults. The trailer is used year-round to haul a fleet of sport wheelchairs and essential equipment to clinics, competitions, and community events across the region.
“At General Formulations, we were absolutely able and excited to help bring this vision to life,” said Jay Kroll, director of product education at General Formulations. “This project means the world to me — not just professionally, but personally. My daughter is a double amputee and is part of this incredible program. She plays sled hockey and is thriving thanks to the support and opportunities Mary Free Bed provides.”
General Formulations & Design Edge Sign Company team up
Also located in West Michigan, General Formulations partnered with Design Edge Sign Company to print and install the vibrant new trailer design. Designed in bright oranges and vibrant greens, the wrap boldly features the program’s message: “Connect. Move. Inspire.” The donated materials GF 830 AutoMarkTM Cast with GF 831 Laminate are said to be perfect for the program’s high-visibility needs. The trailer’s new look is more than just eye-catching; it’s a reflection of identity and empowerment.
“It’s bright, bold and it symbolizes opportunity to connect, move and inspire when community and compassion come together,” said Maria Besta, manager, recreational therapy, Mary Free Bed Wheelchair and Adaptive Sports. “We’re incredibly grateful for the positive energy General Formulations and Design Edge have gifted to our players, fans, staff, and volunteers.”
The trailer wrap has made a profound impact on both athletes and staff. In the above video, one sports coordinator shared: “I always say to my athletes, ‘If we look good, we feel good. And if we feel good, we play good.’ That trailer gives us that same feeling — pride, confidence, and unity.”
