BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-Fruit of the Loom participates in the 2019 United Way Day of Caring. A set of 120 volunteers participated in projects across Southern Kentucky as part of the initiative.
The company says the volunteer efforts allow employees a chance to “step away from their desks during the workday to provide hands-on, volunteer labor for a wide variety of projects in the community,” without using up vacation days. Fruit of the Loom employees donated their time through endeavors such as:
- Working with Habit for Humanity in the Durban, Kentucky area
- Volunteering hours at a local Habitat Restore
- Helping remove invasive plants at Lost River Cave in Bowling Green, Kentucky
