Featured Project: SNA Displays is Primary LED Outfitter for Giant New Jersey Mall

SNA Displays will be providing some 40,000 square feet of LED displays for this massive new shopping/entertainment center.

New York City-based SNA Displays, makers of LED lighting and LED digital video displays, has been chosen as the primary LED display provider for American Dream Meadowlands, the biggest mall in the United States and one of the largest indoor/outdoor retail and entertainment venues in the world.

The massive new center, located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, is spread out over three million square feet, with some venues already up and running and much construction ongoing. American Dream will feature more than 500 retail stores and restaurants, an ice-skating rink, a DreamWorks Water Park, a large movie theater, “Big SNOW America”-the first indoor ski slope in the U.S., an indoor climbing center, SEA LIFE Aquarium, LEGOLAND Discovery Center, and a Nickelodeon Universe theme park.

SNA Displays will supply more than 40,000 square feet of LED display technology throughout the campus and will continue rolling out dozens of indoor and outdoor digital displays in the coming weeks.

Thirty-nine dynamic LED displays, manufactured by SNA, will be located on the property, including one at the Nickelodeon Universe theme park; another in the family entertainment center, called “KidZania”; as well as multiple large-format exterior displays visible to the heavy traffic on I-95, Route 120, and Route 3.

Additionally, American Dream will have dozens of LCD kiosks, also provided by SNA Displays, spread throughout the property with more coming this year. All kiosks and LED displays will be managed by SNA Displays’ Client Service Group (CSG) division, a team of service and technical experts.

The largest LED screen at American Dream will be an exterior MEGA-SPECTACULAR display on the exterior of Nickelodeon Universe, featuring more than 11 million pixels. All exterior LED displays will vary in pixel pitch from 6.67 mm to 16 mm.

Partners on the development include Sansi Development Group, which is financing American Dream’s state-of-the-art digital media network and is responsible for the development and deployment of advertising and sponsorship opportunities campus-wide. Also, New Jersey-based Diversified, a digital signage integrator, has run several aspects of the American Dream project, including one of the venue’s most notable LED displays: the flagship screen in the Nickelodeon Universe theme park. This is a curved LED column that welcomes visitors to the indoor park. Standing 26’7″ high, the display features a 4-mm pixel pitch and more than 3.2 million pixels.

Diversified and SNA Displays are also teaming up to provide two large-format displays for the DreamWorks Water Park.

All media sales are managed by New York’s BOLDSITE Media.
