Louisville, Kentucky-based ChromaLuxe, a manufacturer of high-definition sublimatable photo panels, announces that it partnered with Columbus, Ohio-based photographer Dan Dry for the “Dawn to Derby” exhibition being held during the month of April in anticipation of the running of the 145th Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 4.

Dry works as managing director for Louisville advertising company PriceWeber‘s creative content studio. He also shoots all the photos for KYDerby.com.

The exhibition is taking place at Louisville’s Unique Imaging Concepts‘ gallery. That company is a digital printing shop that specializes in sublimation, and its substrate of choice is ChromaLuxe panels, it says.

The exhibition will showcase more than 40 years of Dry’s photographs at the legendary Kentucky Derby, brought to life on ChromaLuxe’s aluminum photo panels.

“Some of the photography displayed at the exhibit dates back to the very beginning of my career, with the most recent photos taken during the 2018 Kentucky Derby,” says Dry. “This event will capture the entirety of my life experience as a photographer covering the Kentucky Derby and Churchill Downs. I am honored to be selected for this exhibition and hope it will help get community members into the Derby spirit.”

According to ChromaLuxe, Dry is a recipient of more than 450 national and international photography, advertising and design awards during his career, including being named the National Newspaper Photographer of the Year, awarded by the National Press Photographers Association.

“ChromaLuxe is honored to sponsor this exhibition featuring the iconic Kentucky Derby photography from the legendary Dan Dry,” says Steve Flores, ChromaLuxe global brand manager. “ChromaLuxe sponsors exhibitions across the globe, but it is rewarding to host such a tremendous exhibit in our hometown of Louisville.”

The “Dawn to Derby” exhibition is open to the public at Unique Imaging Concepts’ gallery at 200 Distillery Commons, Suite #120, in Louisville.
