WILMINGTON, Del.-DuPont Advanced Printing receives ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX certification from the Hohenstein Institute in Germany. The company earns the accreditation for its DuPont Artistri textiles digital inks and pretreatments, a product lineup designed for direct-to-garment, dye sublimation, and roll-to-roll applications.

“DuPont Artistri inkjet inks are developed not only to deliver brilliant colors and efficient, reliable processing but also with safety in mind,” says Eric Beyeler, global marketing manager for digital printing at DuPont Advanced Printing. “We are very pleased to announce these certifications which demonstrate our commitment to the health and safety of the textile industry.”

ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX is an independent testing and certification system for textile chemical suppliers to demonstrate their products can be used in sustainable textile production. The system uses a multi-step process to certify products featuring measures such as a Manufacturing Restricted Substance List (MRSL) screening, lab tests, and an onsite visit.

“DuPont’s commitment to greener chemistry provides downstream manufacturers and brands even more choice when certifying products and processes within the OEKO-TEX system, complying with worldwide regulations and helping customers make safe and sustainable products,” states Ben Mead, managing director at Hohenstein Institute America.

DuPont says it plans to seek more ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX certifications with new product rollouts.
