The comprehensive Graphics Academy series highlights some of the most popular decorating processes from screen printing to vinyl cutting and laser engraving

Digital Art Solutions Graphics Academy Master Class

The latest addition to the Digital Art Solutions Graphics Academy is a new seven-part master class series. It covers design, sales, and marketing for some of the most popular decorating processes, including:

  • Screen printing and heat transfers
  • Embroidery and appliqué
  • Digital direct-to-garment
  • Rhinestones
  • Print and cut
  • Sublimation
  • Vinyl cutting
  • Laser engraving

The classes begin on Monday, March 1, and take place every Monday through April 12. Sessions are scheduled for 3 p.m. ET and will be archived for later viewing.

Classes are designed for beginners and experts and feature CorelDRAW as the primary graphics program, but the principles also apply to Adobe Illustrator and other vector graphics software. Content will include graphics preparation, design, and production tips for a specific process.

Mastering Graphics for Laser Engraving
Monday, March 1

Learn the basics of art preparation and identify the tools to edit and output graphics for laser engraving and etching. Topics cover setting up a workflow for laser system operation and manipulating graphics for laser production. Find out how to use vector graphics tools to produce laser graphics files, including converting images to black and white and contour cutting.

Mastering Graphics for Screen Printing
Monday, March 8

This class covers the basics of producing graphics for screen printing as well as screen-printed heat transfers. Learn best practices for preparing artwork and creating quality color separations.

Mastering Graphics for Print and Cut
Monday, March 15

Learn how to adapt the graphics for the print-and-cut process using devices such as the Roland VersaCamm and vinyl cutters equipped with optical registration systems for cutting printed graphics. Topics include how to color correct graphics to get perfect color matching, set up a print-and-cut contour line around a vector graphic or bitmap, and streamline the workflow between the cutter and printer.

Monday, April 12
