Digidelta celebrates 40th anniversary
Digidelta marks 40 years of development, while its Decal brand also celebrates 17 years in the market.

Digidelta, a specialist manufacturer of digital printing, decoration, visual communication, and textile materials, marks 40 years of innovation in 2026.
Headquartered in Portugal and exporting to more than 60 countries, the company supports customers with specialty materials designed for large-scale retail graphics, interior decor, and visual communication programs.
“Since its foundation in 1986, Digidelta’s emphasis has been on providing its customers with high-quality solutions to drive growth within their own businesses. Initially, the focus was on digital imaging, printing, and visual communication systems. However, as demand changed over the years, Digidelta evolved alongside the market, adapting its product offering,” stated the company in a press release.
A key turning point came in the early 2000s when Digidelta became the official distributor of Mimaki for the Portuguese market, opening the door to a new chapter in the company’s history by extending its reach beyond hardware supply.
One of the most important developments came in 2009 when Digidelta launched its own brand of media in the form of Decal. What started as a relatively small venture for the company quickly gained traction across Europe, with Decal fast becoming one of the stand-out success stories from Digidelta, to the point where it remains one of the most sought-after brands from the company, some 17 years after its launch.
And Digidelta has plans in place to support this growth. A new 15,000 square-meter factory in Torres Novas is currently under development and will be built this year to support the development of new solutions. With the completion of this expansion, the facility will house four coating lines, 1,300 racks, and five specialist slitters. This will enable the production of 75 million square meters of materials per annum, in addition to a jumbo conversion capacity of 100 million square meters per year and 75 million square meters in annual automated packaging.
“From its manufacturing base in Torres Novas to retail, signage, decor, and branding environments around the world, Digidelta continues to evolve from a Portuguese success story into a global materials partner for international brands and retailers,” stated the company. “With ongoing investment in production capacity, sustainable materials development, and customer collaboration, Digidelta is strengthening its position as a long-term supplier for corporates seeking reliable, scalable, and future-ready solutions for visual communication, decor, and branding applications worldwide.”
