Daktronics Honored as 2021 DQ Equipment Vendor of the Year
Daktronics, a South Dakota-based digital LED sign and software company, was recently honored as the 2021 DQ Equipment Vendor of the Year. The award was presented during the DQ Supply Chain Summit in Carlsbad, California, on Sept. 14.
Daktronics provides digital LED signs and control software to DQ restaurant franchises in the U.S. Franchise owners use the signs to attract fans with full-color advertising and messaging content. Daktronics also partners with the DQ corporate team to provide fresh content every quarter. The content follows the DQ promotional calendar, showcasing specials and menu items with graphics and animations.
Jim Holl, equipment innovation and operations director at American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ), presented the award to Gina Kuck, Daktronics account manager and business development strategist.
Holl says the Daktronics team also helped DQ franchise owners financially with a rebate program for digital reader boards and a 90-day deferred payment program.
“Daktronics was the unanimous choice for the 2021 DQ Equipment Vendor of the Year,” says Holl. “During the pandemic, Daktronics went out of its way to support DQ franchise owners and even developed an entire content suite to empower communication with fans, promote safety, and increase traffic at the drive-thru. Daktronics truly is deserving of this recognition.”
“We were delighted to be named the 2021 DQ Equipment Vendor of the Year,” says Gina Kuck, Daktronics account manager and business development strategist. “Our goal, as partners, is to look across the landscape for our customers and create efficiencies and opportunities that align with their objectives. It was a surprise to be recognized because our team was just doing what we know how to do best, and that’s take care of our customers. To be recognized for that effort is deeply appreciated.”
