Color Concepts announces the launch of ColorBase.com. According to the company, the free online platform is a resource for print shops and converters and is home to a growing number of color tools and video content that end-users can use to improve their print performance.

The platform features a searchable, centralized collection of print profiles for the large-format print industry. ColorBase says profiles (encoded sets of print parameters that ensure optimal print results for a particular combination of material, ink, printer, RIP software, and print mode) are typically only available via material/printer manufacturers.

“By building a centralized profile library, we are creating convenience for print and sign shops,” says André Venter, ColorBase.com product manager and development lead.

Alongside its profile library, the website also includes a collection of product videos and tutorials and is the home of Let’s Talk, the Color Concepts industry talk show hosted by CEO Marco Roos.

Upcoming features will include an ICC Creator where users can operate directly in their browser and an e-learning functionality so users can work through courses and improve their skills.
