Canon Receives Recognition for its Healthcare Devices

Canon serves pretty much any industry where image reproduction is a requirement, and this award happened to be related to the company's health care products.

canon_275x275_2Melville, New York-based Canon U.S.A., the U.S. arm of Tokyo-based Canon Global, which serves a variety of markets with its devices including the sign and graphics industry, government and office environments and health care, recently was awarded a 2019-2020 BLI PaceSetter Award from Keypoint Intelligence-Buyers Lab.

The award was given in the “hospital networks” category, and it was won by Canon for the second year in a row.

The award is given annually to original equipment manufacturers that “offer impressive portfolios of devices, solutions and services that help providers navigate the dynamics of the health care industry,” according to BLI.

According to a report that went with the award, while Keypoint Intelligence recognized Canon’s strong solutions portfolio, the firm especially applauded Canon’s attention to data security and privacy priorities.

“With rising costs and strict security and regulatory requirements, the healthcare industry faces ongoing pressure to streamline operations to prioritize patient care,” says Jamie Bsales, director, solutions analysis at Keypoint Intelligence. “We commend Canon for its widespread suite of solutions-ranging from hardware, software and medical devices-that help address multiple pain points for hospital networks.”
