BSN SPORTS, a division of Varsity Brands and a marketer and distributor of sporting goods and apparel to the school and league markets, announces it has acquired Donnelley Sports in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Donnelley Sports was founded in 1975 and services the team sports market of Idaho and Nevada as a second-generation family business currently owned and operated by partners Pat Donnelley, Mike Donnelley, and Scot McNeley.

“For nearly 50 years, our team has remained dedicated to enhancing the athlete experience with personalized team sports solutions that keep our customers coming back season after season,” says Pat Donnelley, president of Donnelley Sports. “Today marks an exciting new chapter in the Donnelley Sports history, and, looking ahead, we believe we are well positioned to create valuable experiences for our communities by leveraging the strength that BSN SPORTS has to offer.”

Through this acquisition, Donnelley Sports’ leadership and their full sales and support teams have joined BSN SPORTS. The Donnelley Sports office in Twin Falls will transition into a regional sales office, expanding BSN SPORTS’ nationwide network of locally based sales and service teams.

“Today’s announcement marks an exciting addition to BSN SPORTS’ seasoned sales organization as Pat Donnelley, Mike Donnelley, and Scot McNeley, bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the business through this combination,” states Terry Babilla, BSN SPORTS’ president. “I have always had tremendous respect for the reputation and leadership of the Donnelley business, and I believe they will be a fantastic organizational and cultural fit with the BSN SPORTS family. We look forward to upholding Donnelley Sports’ proven service reputation while delivering enhanced product, equipment, and branding now available to their customers within the BSN SPORTS umbrella.”

Current customers can expect to receive continued service combined with an expanded brand selection and access to BSN’s digital platforms and school branding. Donnelley Sports’ in-house graphics and embroidery operations will remain under current ownership while joining BSN SPORTS’ third-party decoration system.

Babilla concludes, “As our 50th-anniversary celebration comes to a close, our BSN SPORTS team is more eager than ever to align with like-minded partners that share our passion for providing service to their local communities. We will continue to seek out partners that help us build lifelong relationships with our customers and fulfill our mission of supporting coaches in making an indelible impact in the lives of their student-athletes.”
