Avery Dennison helps drive skin cancer awareness
Avery Dennison teamed up with The Skin Cancer Foundation & Chicago Wrap to wrap its mobile screening vehicle.

In recognition of May as Skin Cancer Awareness Month, Avery Dennison has sponsored The Skin Cancer Foundation’s mobile education and screening program, “Destination Healthy Skin,” as the in-kind printed graphics and window film sponsor.
The foundation’s traveling “Destination Healthy Skin” recreational vehicle, which is wrapped in Avery Dennison products, will travel across the country to provide free skin cancer screenings.
Equipped with private exam rooms, the mobile unit allows volunteer dermatologists to perform free, full-body screenings, provide early detection and prevention information, and distribute free sunscreen products. Over the next six months, it will travel approximately 10,000 miles to host “Destination Healthy Skin” events in 30+ cities.
The new, state-of-the-art, 38′ RV features a gorgeous blue/green ombre printed design on Avery Dennison wrapping films, and UV-protective window tints — all were installed by Chicago Wrap, a wide-format print production firm and commercial wrap shop based in Aurora, Illinois. The window tint films offer up to 99% UV protection and carry The Skin Cancer Foundation’s Seal of Recommendation for effective sun protection.
“We’re dedicated to providing meaningful solutions for sun safety,” said Bethany Nock, Avery Dennison marketing director. “As our commitment to raising awareness about skin cancer continues to grow, so does the Avery Dennison portfolio of sun-shielding products. We strongly support The Skin Cancer Foundation’s mission to increase prevention and early detection.”
According to research from The Skin Cancer Foundation, skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States, and incidence rates continue to rise. The number of new melanoma diagnoses is predicted to increase by 5.9% this year.
When skin cancers are found and removed early, they are treatable and often curable. When melanoma is detected early, the five-year survival rate is about 99% in the U.S. The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends monthly head-to-toe self-exams and annual professional exams by a dermatologist.
