Almo Professional A/V’s Ziv Named 2019 AVIXA CTS Holder of the Year
Rob Ziv is being honored for not only earning multiple certifications himself but also mentoring other Almo employees to follow in his footsteps.
Maryland-based Almo Professional A/V, a distributor of professional audio and visual equipment, announces that Rob Ziv, CTS-D, CTS-I, ISF-C, DSCE and director of business development, has been named 2019 CTS Holder of the Year by Fairfax, Virginia-based AVIXA (the Audio/Visual and Integrates Experience Association).
AVIXA says that its Holder award calls attention to the AV industry by recognizing Certified Technology Specialist holders (CTS, CTS-D and/or CTS-I) who are achieving rewarding and successful careers in the audiovisual and integrated experiences industries.
According to AVIXA’s announcement, Ziv’s commitment to certification as a pathway for improving Pro AV and industry professionals is “infectious. As the only dual CTS-D/CTS-I at Almo Professional A/V (he attained both in the same year), Ziv has dedicated himself to mentoring other Almo employees through the certification process. Ziv has also been an advisory board member of music production and recording for Community College of Baltimore County and a multimedia subject matter expert for the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. Ziv also writes regularly for multiple industry trade publications and he leads webinars and educational sessions worth AVIXA CTS Renewal Units.”
