Alliance Franchise Brands, a franchisor of marketing, print, and visual communications companies, is celebrating a milestone year as the organization marks 50 years since the founding of the brand that started it all. In 1976, American Speedy Printing launched in Southfield, Michigan, as one of the earliest quick-print franchise concepts in the industry, laying the foundation for what would evolve into Allegra Marketing Print Mail and the broader Alliance Franchise Brands network.

Built around providing fast, reliable printing services to local businesses, American Speedy Printing centers grew from a handful of centers across the Midwest to a network of hundreds of businesses across North America by the late 1980s. As business needs evolved, so did the organization, expanding beyond quick printing to include marketing strategy, digital printing, signage, and other visual communications solutions. The model of independently owned and operated local centers serving their communities remains central to Alliance Franchise Brands today.

“Reaching 50 years is a significant milestone, especially in an industry that has evolved as much as ours has,” said Mike Marcantonio, CEO of Alliance Franchise Brands. “This anniversary reflects the dedication of our franchise members who have built this network one community at a time. As we look ahead, our focus is on continuing to support our franchise members with the tools, resources, and innovation they need to grow and succeed. The next 50 years will be defined by how we evolve alongside them and continue delivering value to the businesses and communities they serve.”

This milestone year pairs with additional anniversaries across the network’s portfolio of brands. In 2026, Allegra Marketing Print Mail celebrates 30 years of supporting businesses with integrated marketing, print, and mail solutions, and Signs By Tomorrow marks 40 years of helping organizations bring their brands to life through signage and visual communications.
