255 Employees Affected in Alphabroder Layoffs and Furloughs

In a letter to the Connecticut Department of Labor, alphabroder/Prime Line notes employment losses affecting employees at the company’s warehouse in Bridgeport.

Beginning in late March, the company implemented permanent terminations and temporary furloughs. The company placed 152 employees on temporary furlough on April 3 and another 21 employees on temporary furlough on April 7.

In the letter, the company notes that 94 machine operators, 54 packers, 15 unpackers/receivers, and 15 warehouse materials handlers were among the 255 employees affected by the terminations and furloughs.
