What not to miss at WRAPSCON 2025
Join us in Long Beach, California, on Aug. 21-23 for all things wraps.
In 2015, the GRAPHICS PRO EXPO team started WRAPSCON, the annual event hosted by wrappers, for wrappers. The popular event returns to GPX Long Beach on Aug. 21-23 for its 10th anniversary and will bring together top graphics installers, manufacturers, and suppliers for a program focused on all things wraps — from initial design to successful installation.
Get the latest in digital printing, vinyl technology, lamination, vehicle templates, wrap-specific artwork and tools, and immerse yourself in expert education panels, industry networking, and exciting competitions. Here’s what you can expect at GPX:
Designer Throwdown
After a short break, the Designer Throwdown is back at WRAPSCON in August, sponsored by the following companies:
- Jody Frego, owner of Full Circle Wrap Training, will lead a wrap design seminar
- The Bad Wrap has supplied a template for designers to download and use for their own designs
- General Formulations is the official media sponsor
- Mutoh is the official print sponsor of both the Designer Throwdown and the Wrap Competition
This contest is 100% focused on you, the designer, to highlight your skills and show the market what you do best. The challenge is simple: Utilize the Mustang Mach E template along with the WRAPSCON logo to design a vehicle wrap that showcases your creative skills.
For the first time, the winner of the Designer Throwdown will receive a cash prize of $1,000 and their design will be the winning design for the top challenge of the competition. The winner will be announced directly following the WRAPSCON Meet the Masters panel on Aug. 21 — make
sure to check out the winning designs at the show.
WRAPSCON Wrap Olympics
Back and better than ever, this year’s WRAPSCON includes the automotive competition attendees know and love but will also feature a wall wraps challenge and timed bonus rounds at exhibitors’ booths. A maximum of 50 teams of two will be allowed to enter the competition.
The first-place team will win a $15,000 cash prize! Second-place winners take home $3,000 and the third-place team will receive $1,000.
The competition brings in teams and sponsors from across the globe. This year’s sponsors include: Orafol, JDS Industries, Arlon Graphics, General Formulations, RC Wrap, and Quad Film. Mutoh is the print sponsor for the event and sponsor WrapMerch will supply fatigue mats and gloves.
WRAPSCON University
Wrapix Academy trainer Adam Sumner is back for a second year to lead WRAPSCON University — this year with a fully functional production shop! Adam is a 3M Preferred Installer, 3M Authorized Trainer and Tester, and is 3M Knifeless Accredited.
From a new design training session led by Jody Frego at Full Circle Wrap Training to a production layout sponsored by Image One Impact, attendees will not only have a hands-on experience with vinyl but will also experience everything a print production wrap shop needs to be successful.
Adam will host application and technique installation classes on vinyl, PPF, architectural windows, floors, and doors. Jody will walk attendees through the full production process from design to print on a Mimaki printer.
