What do I Need to Make a Tic-Tac-Toe Board?

Create this fun and simple weekend project.

Looking for a fun, simple weekend project? Here’s a tic-tac-toe board that we’ve created using laser engravable wood and plastic.

We created the board in this example using Rowmark Hardwood Sassafras material. The base for the board uses Sassafras 1/4″. The top inlay section uses Sassafras 1/8″.

The X’s and O’s were created using Rowmark ColorHues. The X’s were made with Lemon Zest 1/8″, while the O’s used Flamingo 1/8″.

For this project, really any 1/4″ and 1/8″ product will do. The great thing about this tic-tac-toe board is that it’s travel friendly – it’s perfect for car trips because the X’s and O’s won’t slide off the board if there’s a small bump in the road.
