With all paints, educate yourself as to the drying and curing times, which are different. Some spray paints dry to the touch in 10-20 minutes but are not cured for another 48 to 72 hours.
You do not want to deliver the product to your client until the paint is fully cured to avoid damage in handling. You need to plan that into your production time. Should you leave resist material on your product while painting, make sure you remove it as soon as the paint dries to the touch so it cannot form a bond with the paint. If you let it go too long, the resist removal will tear the paint and not give a clean look to the piece.
