Tenth Annual Epilog Challenge Now Underway
This is the 10th year that Epilog has sponsored the contest.
Golden, Colorado-based Epilog Laser and Instructables, an online project-sharing community that provides publishing tools to help creatives share their projects, recipes, skills, and ideas, announce the Epilog Challenge X, which is now open.
Participants are encouraged to make and share anything they like, as long as it stands out and has the appropriate documentation to go along with the build. Those who compete have a chance to win a 30-watt Zing 16 laser from Epilog, along with various other prizes for the runners-up.
“Instructables.com is a community of makers, DIY-ers, and other enthusiasts who share their how-tos for all kinds of projects,” says Amy Dallman, Epilog. “Really, it’s about sharing ideas and designs, and inspiring others to create.”
Dallman adds that those entering the contest can make anything they want, as long as they submit detailed documentation/project instructions. “We highly recommend searching for past Epilog Challenge contests to see the type of Instructables that were submitted as well as the winning entry-there are great variances in theme, complexity, materials, etc.,” she advises.
There’s no cost to enter, but those interested in submitting an Instructable(s) must first register and create an account with Instructables.com. Entries must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. Pacific, 2:50 a.m. Eastern, on Monday, April 1, 2019.
