Specialty Engraving, based in Suwanee, Georgia, sponsored the Special Olympics of Forsyth County for the 10th annual Battle of the Bats Softball Invitational. The all-day event welcomed softball teams from all across Georgia and surrounding states to complete. There were 25 teams total with over 350 athletes, ages eight to 80, and over 500 spectators. All proceeds from the event are used for funding the Forsyth County Program, which offers year-round sports such as basketball, aquatics, bocce, bowling, floor hockey, equestrian, hockey, softball, and powerlifting.
“I like to say that at Specialty Engraving, we support cops and kids,” Seth Eysmans, store manager, says. “We have been providing trophies for the Battle of the Bats for 10 years, and it’s truly inspiring to watch the games and meet with the players as an invited guest. The level of competition between the teams was top notch. These are not teams thrown together for just a days fun. These teams train hard and are coached to be competitive, and they are.”
Eysmans continues, “This is an event that is going to continue for years to come, and Specialty Engraving is going to support it in any way we can.”
