Solimar Systems and Canon Solutions America Announce Strategic Alliance
Canon says that as more of its customers move to inkjet, they will see the benefit of having access to Solimar Systems' process management software.
San Diego-based Solimar Systems Inc., a provider of customer communication management and delivery solutions for targeted industries, including print, announces a strategic partnership with Melville, New York-based Canon Solutions America, a wholly-owned subsidiary and the sales arm of Tokyo-based Canon.
The companies say the new combined offering will provide enhanced print workflow solutions for the professional printing community. The alliance will enable in-plant/in-house printers and print services providers to leverage the Solimar Chemistry software platform with Canon Solution America’s offerings of solutions and devices, including its inkjet presses, to help streamline onboarding and workflow processes, to enhance process visibility, and to allow for post-composition optimization and enhancement of production print and finishing workflows.

Adds Solimar Systems’ chief sales and marketing officer, Mary Ann Rowan: “The combination of Canon Solutions America’s technologies, and Solimar Systems’ workflow and optimization solutions can help significantly improve operational efficiencies in print and digital workflows and provide more revenue opportunities for printers and print service providers.
