Siser and Sawgrass Partner to Produce the EasySubli
Siser and Sawgrass have developed a sublimation solution for colored polyester and cotton garments.
Sterling Heights, Michigan-based Siser, a manufacturer of heat transfer and print and cut media, and Mount Pleasant, South Carolina-based dye sublimation company Sawgrass Technologies recently partnered to create the EasySubli, a matte heat transfer vinyl receptive to sublimation inks that can be used to decorate colored polyester and cotton blends. The product was released to the public in June of 2019.
In June of 2018, Siser sought out Sawgrass as a partner to develop a sublimation solution for colored polyester and cotton garments, according to Siser. The EasySubli HTV and EasySubli Inks were born out of the relationship.
“Together with Sawgrass, we have developed a solution that will unlock access to a growing and profitable sector for our dealers and customers, which is very exciting,” says Yoann Giorsetti, managing director for Siser North America. “The EasySubli transfer media and ink set are perfect for customized apparel such as sportswear, graduation clothing, and concert Ts, though the application list is limitless.”
The new heat transfer vinyl can be fed through Sawgrass’ current sublimation printers, the Virtuoso SG400 and SG800. According to Siser, the vinyl is directly printed on using the specially developed sublimation inks, Siser EasySubli Inks by Sawgrass. Once printed, the vinyl can be cut using a variety of cutters equipped with an optical eye.
“The new EasySubli inks and coordinating profiles have been developed with Siser to provide the best possible output with the brightest, most vibrant colors on their EasySubli transfer media,” says Darcy Mauro, president at Sawgrass. “We have been working with Siser for more than a year to bring new solutions to entrepreneurs and corporate businesses in the product decorating sector and we are thrilled with the results.”
