Simple Heat-Transfer Steps for Glass
Creating indoor, glass awards, or memorial plaques through heat-transfer application is a great option. Make sure that you are using the correct type of heat-transfer paper. A commercial paper tagged for multi-surface use by the manufacturer is a sure bet.
Before applying heat transfer to the glass, read the manufacturer’s instructions for correct time, temperature, and pressure settings. Follow these steps to complete the process of heat transfer on glass:
Step 1: Set time, temperature, and pressure gauges to the suggested settings.
Step 2: Place a soft pad onto the heat press bed. Place the printed transfer that is right reading on top of the pad.
Step 3: Center your clear glass plaque on top of design. Lay a sheet of parchment paper on top of the glass and press.
Step 4: When the timer sounds, remove the parchment paper and allow the glass to cool before removing the paper backing. Gently peel on the diagonal, and that’s it.
