Signs.com to Acquire Large-Format Printer Ferrari Color

The two companies are both based in Salt Lake City but sell their wares throughout North America.

signscom_275x275Salt Lake City-based Signs.com, an online seller of all types of signage, banners, decals and similar products, announces plans to acquire fellow Salt Lake City company Ferrari Color, a large-format graphics provider.

According to Signs.com, the acquisition will bring the majority of its manufacturing demands in-house, streamlining processes and integrating Signs.com’s technology into the production process. The company adds that the acquisition includes Ferrari Color’s respected brand name, its ¬†highly-trained and seasoned staff and its world-class equipment.

“From the beginning, our goal at Signs.com has been to provide the best sign-buying experience available,” says Nelson James, co-founder and chief operating officer. “We are confident this acquisition will align with that goal by merging Ferrari Color’s acclaimed experience and production with our own expertise in e-commerce and customer service.”

Having full control over the production process will be a major milestone in Signs.com’s vision, it says. This will also provide the means for Signs.com to tap into a new line of products, services and specializations and allow the company to become more competitive in the enterprise graphics space.

While the two companies have shared similar ownership, they have run as separate entities until this acquisition.

“We are excited about the opportunity to combine the expertise of Ferrari Color and Signs.com into one strong and unified force in the marketplace,” says Kirk Green, CEO of Ferrari Color. “At the same time, this will allow us to be more accessible to our customers as they continue to move away from the traditional sales channels to an e-commerce approach.”
