Scott Schinlever Joins Gerber Technology as Chief Operating Officer
Scott Schinlever comes to Gerber from EFI, where he had been since 2001.
Tolland, Connecticut-based Gerber Technology, which makes products serving a variety of industries, including sign and graphics; manufacturing and industrial; government; aircraft interiors; and many others, announces the appointment of Scott Schinlever as its new president and chief operating officer leading the company’s automation solutions business.
Schinlever joins Gerber from EFI, where he was senior vice president and general manager of EFI’s inkjet business. Schinlever had joined EFI in 2005 with its strategic acquisition of VUTEk, where he had been vice president of marketing since 2001. At EFI, he was increasingly given additional general management responsibilities, culminating in taking over all of EFI’s inkjet business in 2011.
According to a Gerber statement, under Schinlever’s leadership, EFI’s inkjet business grew from $207 to $570 million in revenue.
Prior to EFI, Schinlever was vice president of strategic marketing for Xerox Corp.‘s office systems division from 1999 to 2001, and before that he held positions of increasing responsibility in product marketing and strategic planning at Xerox.
