SanMar Corporation Launches A Canvas for Good Vision Statement

ISSAQUAH, Wash.-SanMar Corporation launches a new vision statement entitled “A Canvas for Good.” The statement features a corresponding website where customers share stories about using apparel for worthy causes.

The company says it’s also coupled the new vision statement with a new mission statement; “We serve with care and integrity, positivity impacting lives, to inspire pride and belonging.” The two components address the core company belief that business is personal, according to SanMar.

“We think we have an opportunity [to show that] a shirt we sell can do more,” says Jeremy Lott, president of SanMar. “It can help to build community. It can help to build hope for people around the world who manufacture our product. ‘A Canvas for Good’ is our ability to use a T-shirt, something so simple we all own, but can affect peoples’ lives in a very real way.”

With the website for A Canvas for Good, the company says it hopes to share stories of how T-shirts have been a blank canvas for inspiration to facilitate everything from a unique uniform for a sports team to a fundraiser for cancer research.

“Each shirt and story are special, and we want everyone to share their stories of how their shirts carry out the SanMar mission of serving with care and integrity, and how your shirts positively impact lives by inspiring pride and belonging,” states SanMar.
