ricohRicoh USA earns a gold award in the Most Innovative Company category of the Best in Biz Awards. The Best in Biz Awards is an annual program judged by editors from various publications in North America.

The company launched a program in 2018 dubbed the Ricoh Ignite global growth strategy, an initiative which outlines plans to “push traditional technology boundaries to empower digital workplaces to facilitate more streamlined and secured information sharing, enhanced collaboration, and productivity and much more,” according to Ricoh. The company says it’s implemented this strategy on multiple fronts including collaborative workspaces and augmented reality options for communications.

“For more than 80 years, Ricoh has continued to build on its founding legacy of innovation, developing the tools and expertise to help our customers meet the challenges of a changing world,” says Glenn Laverty, senior vice president of marketing, Ricoh Americas, and president and CEO of Ricoh Canada Inc.

The Best in Biz Awards submissions for 2018 encompasses various companies, from global brands to local start-ups. This year’s competition featured approximately 700 entries from the U.S. and Canada with 70 different categories. Some of the top categories include Fastest-Growing Company, Best Place to Work, Executive of the Year, and Most Innovative Product.

“Today’s work can take us many places,” adds Laverty. “We make it our mission to help workers be just as effective and involved from across an ocean as they are from across a room.”

The news is the latest announcement for year-end awards at the company. In Nov. 2018, the CES Innovation Awards named Ricoh an Innovation Awards Honoree for the RICOH Ri 1000 direct-to-garment printer.
