Principal LED Welcomes Manufacturing Process Engineer

The company says one of the two hires in particular is geared toward helping the company add manufacturing of its signage products in the U.S.

principal_275x275San Angelo, Texas-based LED signage module manufacturer Principal LED announces Shon Tausch as its new manufacturing process engineer. Tausch has 25 years’ experience in the electronics manufacturing industry, and his job will be to bring manufacturing to Principal LED, implementing new processes and applying the Lean Six Sigma method to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Tausch has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Grantham University and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

“This is an exciting time for Principal LED as we embark on the journey to be the first in our space to introduce signage LED products manufactured in the United States,” says COO and president of Principal LED, Jim Shaw. “We are lucky to have Shon leading the charge in this key area of our business; we are confident he will bring the expertise and leadership that will be instrumental to our success.”

Before coming to work for Principal LED Tausch worked at Frymaster in Shreveport, Louisiana. There, he structured their new electronic manufacturing plant. He received his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt through the American Society for Quality while he was employed at Frymaster.

“The Lean Six Sigma journey and my extensive understanding of the electronic process will directly transfer best practices to Principal LED’s new manufacturing facility,” Tausch says. “Personally, I’m excited to be a part of the future growth by setting up the infrastructure for manufacturing and partnering up with the management at Principal LED to introduce Lean Six Sigma.”
