Popular Customization Techniques for Glass Items

Find out which applications are the best fit for different forms of glass.

Laser engraving works well on glass objects, but the shape should be considered carefully. Cylindrical and tapering objects (without steep angles at the top and bottom) fit on a rotary attachment best.

Also, if an object is rounded vertically and horizontally, the engraving area may be small. Sandcarving is an excellent (and sometimes the only) alternative.

When sizing art, graphics/names should be entirely visible, surrounded by white space. Some items can be engraved in a stationary position, but the engraving width will be limited.

Mirrors should be engraved from the back because front engraving will be reflected for a double image.
