Penn Emblem raises funds for Breast Cancer Awareness month. The company raised donations during October 2018.
“‘Do the right thing. Do things Right’ has been a part of Penn Emblem’s core values since the company’s founding, integrating the ideals in its business practices,” says the company in a press announcement. “Giving back to the community is an important part of Penn Emblem’s corporate culture, and employees are encouraged to support their community.”
Employees and executives raised funds through a “dress-down” program, where employees paid a fee to dress in casual attire. In addition to employee contributions, Penn Emblem matched worker funds, bringing the total funds raised to $2,720. The company chose the nearby Fox Chase Cancer Research Center as the recipient of the donation.
The company’s initiatives to raise funds for cancer research dates back to 2004 and includes numerous foundations. In addition to internal donation programs, the company designs and sells sublimated patches during the month of October for the cause. Since 2016, donations have benefited Fox Chase.
