OSRAM Appoints Jes Munk Hansen CEO for the U.S.

In addition to running the company's U.S. operations, Hansen will oversee its sales units globally.

hansenWilmington, Massachusetts-based lighting technology company OSRAM announces the appointment of Jes Munk Hansen as its new CEO for the U.S., and as its head of global sales for all of its business units.

Aside from overseeing general operations in the United States, Hansen will work in collaboration with all of the company’s global business unit leaders to manage worldwide sales functions across all of the units.

Hansen returns to OSRAM with extensive global leadership experience in the European and North American markets. He currently serves on the board of governors of the North American National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) and on the board of Watts Water Technologies. He also has served as CEO and president of Grundfos North America, makers of water pumps and pump systems.

Hansen has a Master of Science degree from Copenhagen (Denmark) University, and an MBA from the London Business School.

In taking his new jobs at OSRAM, Hansen succeeds Grant Wright, who has held a variety of roles at the company since 1996, including specialty lighting controller, then chief financial officer, then CEO Americas.
