NEC Large- and Small-Format Displays Earn ENERGY STAR Awards
NEC says it appreciates the recognition since energy efficiency is always a main focus point it puts into its products.
Chicago-based NEC Display Solutions, a provider of commercial LCD displays and monitors as well as digital and multimedia projectors, announces that three of its desktop displays, the MultiSync E271N, EA231WU and EA241F, and the large-format E657Q, received the ENERGY STAR Most Efficient of 2019 Award. The award recognizes products that deliver cutting-edge energy efficiency along with the latest technological innovation, according to ENERGY STAR.
“We are honored to receive the ENERGY STAR Most Efficient Award, as it serves as validation of our commitment to bringing environmentally friendly products to market,” says Art Marshall, senior product manager for desktop displays. “Our goal is always to meet and exceed the Energy Star standard in the whole design of the unit to produce not just the best desktop displays in the market, but the most efficient as well.”
Meanwhile, the large-format E657Q display is ENERGY STAR 7.0-certified and features a 4K UHD panel with direct LED backlighting, which reduces power consumption for eco-friendly digital signage. A 24-hour scheduler makes it easy to schedule on/off times, while the wake on video signal feature conserves power when no video source is connected.
