Mutoh America Earns GREENGUARD GOLD Certification for its New MS41 Ink
The MUTOH MS41 ink is applicable to its new eco-solvent printers, the XpertJet 1682SR and 1641SR.
Phoenix-based wide-format printer and cutter manufacturer Mutoh America announces that its new MS-141 Eco-Solvent ink has been awarded GREENGUARD GOLD certification from Underwriters Laboratories.
UL says that products bearing the GREENGUARD Certification mark are ones producing low VOC emissions. Products bearing the GREENGUARD Certification mark have been independently tested and certified to demonstrate that they meet one of UL’s rigorous third-party GREENGUARD Certification standards. GREENGUARD Certification standards are based on established emission criteria used by the State of California, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and other reputable public health agencies.
The GREENGUARD Gold Certification standard includes health-based criteria for additional chemicals and also requires lower total VOC emission levels to ensure that products are acceptable for use in environments such as schools and health care facilities, UL says.
Mutoh’s MS-41 ink received the Gold Standard for Chemical Emissions for Building Materials, Finishes and Furnishings and is certified for decorative wall applications.
“Our customers want to know that their Mutoh ink is safe for their applications” says Brian Phipps, president and general manager of Mutoh America. “Green Guard Gold certification is the perfect stamp of approval letting everyone know these inks are safe for the most sensitive of environments.”
MUTOH MS41 ink is currently applicable to the new MUTOH eco-solvent printers: the XpertJet 1682SR and the 1641SR.
