Minimize the Resetting Time on Your Laser Jobs
Understand what can affect run time.
Most of your laser jobs will not start and end at the home position; the carriage may have to travel to the location where it will start firing. You can minimize this, if the job allows, by resetting the home position closer to the start of the cut or even centering the home position within the cut area and using the center-center cutting option in the print driver (if you have that feature). Neither of these options is practical in most circumstances, so it’s best to understand how that non-firing carriage travel affects run time.
