ENGLEWOOD, N.J.-Kornit Digital unveils its latest innovations with a multi-day event at the company’s North American headquarters. The company showcased its advancements to date, including the release of its latest printing system, the Avalanche Poly Pro on April 3 and 4.

The itinerary featured presentations by company executives, as well as outside guests from a variety of markets and industries. Shai Terem, president of the Americas at Kornit Digital and Kornit CEO Ronen Samuel lead the day’s events with back-to-back presentations that covered the company’s growth and efforts to address new trends in the decorated apparel industry. Terem touched on the increased need for hyper-customization and the ongoing demand of the sports apparel industry. “(There has) been a shift to digital in all markets,” Samuel contended, suggesting, “In the next five years we are going to see a huge transition in the textile market.”

Samuel added that, particularly with younger generations entering the buyers’ market, Kornit sees four “mega-trends” as overshadowing a shift in decorated apparel culture. These include the demand for personal expression, the impact of social media influencers on all trends, apparel’s rise to become the biggest and fastest growing e-commerce trend, and the ongoing call for sustainable clothing and practices.

Additionally, Dave Sprague, creative director, and designer for Manchester United Football Club chimed in on the vibrancy of customized sports apparel.

Along with presenters, Kornit provided attendees and partners an inside look at the company’s technology with in-depth walkthroughs by company technicians and executives offering real-time demos of the company’s equipment lineup, including the new Avalanche Poly Pro. Samuel unveiled the new printer with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony during the event. With the new polyester printing process, the company says it hopes to address common challenges decorating the substrate such as dye migration, prints that sustain stretching and bending, improved Pantone color-matching, and broader industry issues such as enhanced sustainability with a single-step process, and the reduction of harmful substances.

Both days concluded with a Q&A panel. The Kornit Discover event came as a follow-up to a recent relocation of its North American headquarters. In the Fall of 2018, the organization celebrated the launch of the new facility, which offers clients the chance to test prints and learn about equipment hands-on with a grand opening ceremony. Before 2018, Kornit’s North American headquarters was based in Wisconsin.
