Konica Minolta Listed Among 2019 Global 100 Most Sustainable Global Companies

This is the second time in the past eight years that Konica Minolta was named to this pretigious list.

konicaminolta_275x275Ramsey, New Jersey-based Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. announces that its Japan-based headquarters, Konica Minolta Inc., has been listed among the “2019 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World.”

The list was announced by Canada-based Corporate Knights, a media company focused on sustainability, in conjunction with the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in January in Davos, Switzerland.

This marks the second time Konica Minolta has been included on the prestigious Global 100 list following 2011.

The 2019 Global 100 were selected from among 7,536 major global corporations based on an evaluation of their environmental, social, and governance activities as well as their promotion of diversity and innovation. Konica Minolta is one of eight Japanese companies included on the global list.

“Konica Minolta is committed to using our position as a global company to create new value for society by offering innovative solutions and considering all stakeholders,” says Kay Du Fernandez, senior vice president of marketing at Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. “This recognition exemplifies our continual efforts to be a leader in social and environmental sustainability.”

As part of its global corporate social responsibility focus, Konica Minolta says it puts great emphasis on these categories and integrates them into its company-wide management philosophy: environment; social innovation; customer satisfaction and product safety; responsible supply chain; human capital; and diversity.

“By promoting global initiatives based on these material issues on a global scale,” the company says, “Konica Minolta aims to contribute to the evolution of the business community and society at large, and to the achievement of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.”
