JDS Hires One and Promotes Two
One of the promotions was to fill the place of Randy Deutsch, who recently retired after 25 years at JDS.
Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based JDS Industries, a supplier of components to the sign and graphics, sublimation, awards, and gifts and promotion markets, announces the expansion of its warehouse team with the hiring of Duane Johnson as the warehouse operations manager, and the promotion of Colin VanLint to sign specialist and Bill Ambroz to a warehouse operations director.
Johnson has an extensive background in the management of people, resources, inventory, planning, and logistics in the retail and order fulfillment arenas. He has overseen as many as 15 stores and management teams with large sales volumes. Most recently, Johnson has been with Tractor Supply Co. Johnson will help oversee all 14 JDS warehouses and their employees. Johnson is based at the headquarters in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Due to continued growth, JDS Industries promotes VanLint to sign specialist. VanLint started with JDS in 2015 as a sublimation specialist. He graduated with a Bachelor of Art with an emphasis on multimedia design from Northern State University in 2014. While attending college, he worked as a computer and printer technician where he acquired three-plus years of troubleshooting and repair skills. VanLint’s background in large-format printing comes from working at Alpha Graphics out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he designed and fabricated large-format signs.
JDS also announces the promotion Ambroz to warehouse operations director. Ambroz started with JDS in 2016 as a warehouse operations manager and will be taking over for Randy Deutsch, who is retiring after 25 years with JDS. Ambroz has an extensive background in warehousing, distribution, and logistics, as well as many years of experience in managing multiple distribution locations. Ambroz will oversee 14 warehouses and their employees. He is also based at JDS headquarters.
