The Alexandria, Virginia-based International Sign Association, a nonprofit trade organization serving the sign, graphics and visual communications industry, has postponed its ISA Sign Expo 2020, which had been scheduled for the first week in April, until August.

“Given the latest developments with COVID-19, the ISA Board and staff were not confident we could deliver the exceptional experience the industry deserves,” reads a statement signed by the ISA Board of Directors and issued Wednesday. “In addition, many of you contacted ISA staff to share your concerns. ISA’s purpose is to listen and serve the industry. We heard you.”

The ISA Sign Expo, which has been around for more than seven decades, is now scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 23-Tuesday, Aug. 25. Pre-conference sessions will be held on Saturday, Aug. 22. The location remains the same: the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

The novel coronavirus, which had killed more than 4,300 people worldwide by Wednesday, has been declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization.
