Imtech Graphics Achieves SGP Certification
Imtech was founded in 1994, when current CEO, Gary Cordovano, purchased a company that was headed for bankruptcy.
The Sayville, New York-based Sustainable Green Printing Partnership, a nonprofit organization that provides sustainability certification in the graphics communication industry, announces that Carlstadt, New Jersey-based Imtech Graphics, which provides digital and large-format printing services, among others, to its customers, is SGP’s newest certified print house.
Imtech Graphics says it became a certified SGP Printer to show its continual commitment and dedication to the environment, its employees and clients. It’s part of its mission, the company says, to push the envelope on ways to improve best practices and continually promote a happy and healthy environment for its employees and community.
“Imtech Graphics elected to become SGP certified to help our clients meet their demands to have a sustainable supply chain,” says Kevin Cordovano, COO of Imtech Graphics. “Internally, SGP helped us revise our (standard operating procedures) and improve on our workflows to promote continual improvement.”
Imtech Graphics says it will continue to develop new ways to improve on its already green practices. This will include all areas of the organization-purchasing, operations, manufacturing and maintenance. Through a collaborative approach, new ideas will constantly be developed and vetted in an open forum involving all employees. As Imtech’s operations continue to develop, it will use SGP philosophy as a factor in the decision making process.
