Holmes Custom announced in a press release on February 25 that its name changed to HC Brands, effective immediately.
The Jacksonville-based designer, manufacturer, and e-commerce retailer of personalized products for business and home use, will redirect visitors from www.holmescustom.com to www.hcbrands.com. The company will also work to transition emails, messaging, and branding materials over the next several weeks.
The name change is not something that the company is a stranger to. In 2017, they changed their name to Holmes Custom from Holmes Stamp & Sign.
“Much like the need for us to change in 2017, we felt Holmes Custom was no longer representative of who we are,” says owner/CEO, Bryan Croft. “We’re a marketing, tech, and e-commerce company that is constantly innovating and growing so rapidly. We now own nine boutique websites and are seeking the addition of more. The name Holmes Custom itself just didn’t reflect who we are.”
HC Brands is the parent company of nine niche sites, each specializing in stamps, signs, name tags, promo products, wall decals, corporate kits, notaries, and personalized gifts. The company acquired its ninth company in 2019, WallMonkeys.com, a brand that specializes in wall decals.
The nine boutique brands under the HC Brands umbrella will all undergo a bit of a re-brand, including a logo update signifying being a part of HC Brands.
“Informing our customers of all that we do has been a challenge for us for many years,” says VP of strategic partnerships, Libby O’Regan. “By letting our customers of one site know that we are part of something much bigger, we hope to be able to introduce audiences of one brand to our other brands and connect the dots.”
Even with this change, not much will be different for existing customers of any of the brands, according to the press release. “Other than the redirect from www.holmescustom.com to www.hcbrands.com (which will take place on March 5, 2020), and seeing a slightly different logo, the experience for our customers will remain unchanged,” says Croft. “For us, this is about how we communicate from the inside out.”
