HanesBrands announces plans to donate more than 225,000 pairs of underwear to assist Hurricane Dorian victims.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.-HanesBrands announces plans to donate more than 225,000 pairs of underwear to assist Hurricane Dorian victims. The company says the donation will go to victims in the Bahamas and coastal North Carolina.
To distribute the goods, Hanes says it’s joining forces with Delivering Good, a charity that helps deliver products in the fashion, home, and children’s industry. Hanes has partnered with the organization on previous efforts, including donations to victims of Hurricane Florence last year. The company estimates this year’s contribution at roughly $1 million.
“HanesBrands and its employees continue to be longtime supporters of those in need here and around the world,” says Chris Fox, HanesBrands vice president of corporate social responsibility. “We know that victims of natural disasters have a tremendous need for the basics in life, including shelter, food, water, and clothing. And we are happy to spread some ‘Hanes For Good’ to assist in the long road to recovery after Hurricane Dorian.”
