Hanes Signs Lease for Champion Distribution Center

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.-Hanes signs a lease on a distribution center for its Champion Brand. The Triad Business Journal reports the 340,000-square-foot space is located in High Point, North Carolina.

The newspaper says Hanes expects the new facility to add 200 employees to its workforce and projects an opening in January 2019. The opening comes as a means to meet distribution capacity with the Champion brand, mainly the line’s men’s athletic wear and jersey market.

Carole Crosslin, Hanesbrands spokeswoman, tells the Triad that third-quarter sales for Champion were “broad-based, increasing across channels” such as sporting goods stores, online retail, and mass merchants.
