Giving Back: Orbus Fundraises for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
The fundraising campaign was for the first six months of the year. The company is adopting new charities for its fundraising in the second half of the year.
Woodridge, Illinois-based trade show display and exhibit manufacturer Orbus Exhibit & Display Group announces that it has spent the past six months fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and it recently presented the organization with a donation of more than $9,000.
The company says its fundraising efforts included company-wide casual dress buy-in, “shamrock grams” and a chili cook-off.
Orbus’ Social and Cultural Committee organizes events throughout the year in support of a designated charity. For the second half of 2019, Orbus is fundraising for the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, the Andrew Grene Foundation and it will host its annual Toys for Tots drive. Events and activities will include casual wear buy-in, manager dunk dank, an ice cream social, a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle. Orbus employees can also look forward to annual, just-for-fun Halloween celebrations, including a costume contest and desk decorating contest.
“It is so rewarding to be able to fundraise and provide assistance to these outstanding charities,” says Giles Douglas, president and CEO of Orbus. “The team is thrilled to contribute as they are able and we try to make the events and activities as enjoyable as possible for everyone involved.”
