Woodridge, Illinois-based trade show display and exhibit manufacturer Orbus Exhibit & Display Group announces that it has been recognized as a 2019 Green Giving Partner by one of its recycling partners, Cincinnati-based international humanitarian group Matthew 25: Ministries.

The “Green Giving Partner Seal” is awarded to Mathew 25: Ministries’ corporate partners that display a commitment toward minimizing corporate waste and supporting humanitarian aid to the poorest of the poor and disaster victims in the U.S. and around the world each year. Orbus struck up a partnership with them in 2016.

According to the nonprofit, Orbus’ contributions aided Matthew 25: Ministries in helping more than 21 million people in 2018. Matthew 25: Ministries shipped 862 truckloads, or more than 16 million pounds, of repurposed products rescued from landfills last year. This aid went to people in need locally and internationally, and almost 3 million pounds were distributed through disaster relief efforts.

Orbus’ efforts totaled 108 pallets contributed, resulting directly in 99,900 people helped, $25,920 in warehouse costs savings, $7,236 in landfill costs savings and 75,600 pounds in potential waste being repurposed, according to Matthew 25: Ministries.

Orbus’ recycling efforts as a whole successfully diverted 90% of its total waste from landfills in 2018, up from 77% in 2017.

Matthew 25: Ministries is an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization that is focused around fulfilling Matthew 25:34-40 of the New Testament by providing nutritional food to the hungry, clean water to the thirsty, clothing to the naked, affordable shelter to the homeless, medical care to the ill and humanitarian supplies to those in need. The charity also places an emphasis on educating the public on the conditions and needs of the poorest of the poor and providing resources for action.
